Silver Grow: Career Guidance And Digital Education
For Senior Workers In Enterprises
Project No. 2022-1-PL01-KA220-VET-000086542
KA220-VET - Cooperation partnerships in vocational education and training
Lead time: 1 November 2022 – 31 October 2025
Silver Grow is a comprehensive and innovative project designed to help senior workers maximize their potential within the labor market. It addresses a crucial socio-economic challenge, i.e., an aging workforce - by developing a holistic approach that enhances the professional development and adaptability of employees aged 50 and older.
The project’s innovation lies in its constructivist approach to career development and vocational guidance, which shifts the focus from traditional, rigid training methods to a more personalized and dynamic learning model. This methodology empowers senior workers by fostering self-reflection, adaptability, and active engagement in their career paths, enabling them to overcome barriers such as outdated skills, technological challenges, and perceived employability limitations.
A key aspect of Silver Grow is the creation of a “fast path” training and advisory system that provides tailored, rapid-response solutions to the specific needs of senior employees and their employers. This includes an interactive digital learning platform, personalized career guidance tools, and sector-specific recommendations for improving the integration of older workers into modern enterprises. The project also promotes workplace adaptations to support the longevity of senior employees in the workforce, addressing challenges related to digital transformation, intergenerational knowledge transfer, and evolving industry demands.
Beyond its immediate benefits to participating employees and organizations, Silver Grow seeks to foster a broader cultural shift in labor market policies and enterprise strategies. By facilitating dialogue through expert panels and forums, the project engages employers, HR professionals, vocational trainers, and policymakers in shaping sustainable, long-term solutions for an inclusive, age-diverse workforce. The project’s impact extends beyond training - it aspires to redefine the perception of senior workers by demonstrating their continued value, resilience, and capacity for growth in a rapidly changing economic landscape.
